The Cameron Highlands KOM is a beautiful bike race. It’s a tad over 50km in length and gains some 1,500m of elevation as it rises through the stunning collection of forest-clad hills that are collectively known as the Cameron Highlands.. The climb is a relatively fast one, with an average gradient of just 3 percent, but it also features some steep ramps as well as a few false flats and short downhills that allow for brief periods of recovery. It’s almost the perfect race. But the organisers in their wisdom have decided to throw in a downhill sprint finish!
