![]() An exciting new format of bike racing came to Singapore last week in the shape of the OCBC Super Sprint, but unfortunately not many people got to experience the thrills and spills of racing at the KF1 Karting Circuit as the event was poorly attended. Still, those 24 cyclists who did turn out, and probably about double that number of spectators and officials, were treated to an entertaining night of action, most of it under the powerful floodlights that illuminate the track, giving the event the feel of a mini Singapore F1 Grand Prix. ![]() The cycling situation in Malaysia is in stark contrast to the state of affairs in Singapore; indeed the road-racing scene over the border is positively thriving. Most weekends there are cycling festivals, also known as jamborees, in at least one state in peninsular Malaysia.
